OUR HISTORY

In 1984, Howard J. Stiefel was called by the Spirit of the Lord to the office of an Apostle; to set up churches, teaching them to understand the powers and promises given to us as the adopted sons of the Father, joint heirs with Jesus Christ.  In order to accomplish this task, Holy Spirit Ministries was founded.  On August 1, 1985, Holy Spirit Ministries, Inc. received its papers of incorporation.

With a team of a few close friends who were also called, he conducted seminars teaching the people of God how to operate in the Gifts of the Holy Spirit, how to effectively hear the voice of God and how to recognize the different Gifts as they are in operation.

Under this ministry, people have been set free from the bondage the devil tricked them into accepting.  There are testimonies of demons being cast out, broken bones healed, people set free from sickness and diseases of all kinds, and most of all, Christians learning that there is authority in the name of Jesus Christ!

In the early nineties, the ministry went into a semi-dormant state of operation; this state lasted for close to ten years.  In this time Brother Howard’s son, Jeremy Stiefel, was growing and learning how to operate in ministry.  In 2002, after working for about five years in a local church as a youth minister, God instructed Jeremy to revitalize the ministry, so, with the help of his father, he began to take the steps necessary to bring the ministry up to date.  

At the present time a team of new workers as well as some of the original members are preparing to take the true gospel of Christ to the world.  The difference this time is there are many more tools available for us to use, including the internet, as well as modern recording facilities and even the tool of video is being researched as a tool to help get the message of the love of Jesus out to the masses!

It is our hope that these teachings and tools will help you in your growth and understanding of the scriptures concerning the Gifts of the Spirit and the authority we have through Jesus Christ.  But remember the most important thing is that you learn to develop a relationship with God the Father!
