The number one purpose or call for a minister or ministry is to preach the Gospel of Christ, or to tell people about how much Jesus loves them. The Bible tells us that God loved us so much that He sent His only Son (Jesus) to die that our sins may be forgiven and we could live forever in paradise.

In 1984, Howard J. Stiefel was called by the Spirit of the Lord to the office of an Apostle; to set up churches, teaching them to understand the powers and promises given to us as the adopted sons of the Father, joint heirs with Jesus Christ.  In order to accomplish this task, Holy Spirit Ministries was founded.  On August 1, 1985, Holy Spirit Ministries, Inc. received its papers of incorporation.
